Lest you think that all of my meals and snacks are made from scratch, I thought I’d show you the rest of what I eat each week in today’s post. I started doing my What I Ate This Week posts for two reasons: 1) to share tasty vegetarian recipes that I’ve actually tried myself, and 2) to get more practice with my photography. But I don’t want to give people the impression that I completely avoid packaged food and takeout or that I never do a thrown together meal made with what we have on hand because that’s not the case! So here are some of my current favorite easy meals and snacks.
(Oh, and I totally slacked this week and took most of these pictures with my phone. I figured I didn’t need to break out my DSLR and props for a photo of a frozen falafel wrap.)
TaDah! Falafel Wraps // These are a little bit pricey, so I only buy them when they’re on sale. But I could seriously eat these every single day of the week. I’m not a fan of most frozen foods, but these honestly taste like they’re made fresh.
Hail Merry Chocolate Macaroons // Aw look, it’s the last one. Sads! I love these because they’re relatively healthy, but they still taste like a treat. Which is rare, right?
Noodles & Company Japanese Pan Noodles // My birthday is this month, so I got a coupon for a free bowl of noodles. Happy, happy! I wish I could figure out a way to make this at home.
Pure Nutella Mug Cake from Kirbie’s Cravings // This was my treat for the week. I threw in some random toffee bits too, although they all sank to the bottom of the mug and kind of made a mess. And I’m terribly embarrassed about this photo. It tastes better than it looks!
Kitchen Sink Pasta // I know, I’ve posted this before. Many times. It’s our favorite easy meal! Random pasta, random sauteed veggies, jarred pasta sauce and some olives thrown in for good measure. Again, it tastes better than it looks.
Savory Teas // I received samples of Numi’s new Savory Teas and I didn’t really know what to expect, but these were surprisingly good. Like so good I will buy them when they go on sale next month. They taste exactly like soup. And I know, tea that tastes like soup kind of sounds weird, but trust me, it’s delicious. (I’m sipping on the Carrot Curry flavor as I type this!)
Hearty Spiced Carrot Muffins from Kitchen Treaty // Now that we are in the thick of winter, I’ve been wanting warm breakfasts, so I keep muffins in the freezer and zap them in the microwave each morning. Homemade convenience food! Chris made these and he had the fabulous idea to throw in some coconut, which was a delicious addition to these already amazing muffins.
And really, I could add more. Maybe I’ll start including more of the snacks and products I like to buy in my future What I Ate This Week posts? Maybe?

It’s always an inspiration to read your post and find out what you had!!
I love the name of kitchen sink pasta- I totally make my own version of that all the time!
Those muffins look yummy and something I would love to keep on hand for breakfast or company.
Wow can we come to your house? This food looks so delicious!!
It’s nice to know you do some easy food like the rest of us
. A lot of that food looks really good and so warm! Can you tell I’m cold right now :-p.
I do! I just need to blog about it more.
mmm those muffins are calling my name!
Ah, Noodles! I really miss the Japanese Pan Noodles. Yakisoba and yakiudon in Japan really would be better with more vegetables and spice and a better sauce.
I guess this is one of those rare times when the imitation is better than the original.
Those muffins look delicious!
