Do you buy fancypants syrup for your coffee? Well, stop! You can make it yourself and it’s easier than you think. Homemade vanilla syrup is delicious in coffee, but it’s also the perfect way to add a little sweetness to underripe fruit. You can even use it to make your own cream soda. (I mean, seriously, who makes their own cream soda?! Do you want to impress people? Start making your own cream soda.)

Looks like another winner! I commented over there.
Wow sounds good!
Oh thanks for this – I like anything that falls under the “fancypants” category, so we’re dead on with this one!
Heading over to Henry Happened to check it out!
This has totally been on my list for of things to make for a while. Love it!
This looks amazing! I now want to make my own cream soda!! haha[:
DO IT! I don’t like the bottled kind of cream soda, but it is amazing when you make it yourself from syrup made with real vanilla beans. Oh, is it good.
Sounds great! I’ve made my own extract, now I’m heading over to see about the syrup.
I’ve been meaning to make my own extract too! I heard the flavor is a lot better when you make it yourself.
It’s great flavor. I have mine for a very long time, it preserves the beans and I just keep adding more vodka or beans as needed.
Love this photo!
We’ve never made our own cream soda, BUT we have a SodaStream – you’ve just given me an idea! Thanks!
I use my SodaStream to make cream soda with this syrup too!
I don’t drink coffee, but I want to try making this for the coffee drinker in the house. Neat idea!
I like it best in cream soda or on fruit. I used it on some not-so-sweet strawberries and it was perfect!
looks awesome. Heading over there now
