These printable valentines are perfect for Valentine's Day! These DIY valentines are cheaper than store-bought ones, and they're just as cute. And when stuffed with delicious watermelon candies, they're even sweeter. Perfect for your sweetheart or as Valentine's gifts for classmates, teachers, and coworkers.
I love a good pun, and I love a good melon — so these watermelon-themed printable valentines are totally perfect. They're funny. They're tasty. What more could you ask for?
Before Valentine's Day, the stores are filled to the brim with heart-themed candy and cards.
You know the drill. Your kids always want the most expensive cartoon-themed cards. They get thrown out almost immediately. And there are always extras that go to waste.
That's why I love making DIY valentines. You can make only as many as you need. They're much more clever than the store-bought valentines. (Assuming you have a sense of humor!)
And they're perfect for kids, teachers, classmates, and even coworkers!
How to Make Printable Valentines
These printable melon valentines are super easy to make.
Here's what you'll need to make these watermelon printable valentines:
- This free printable! (click here to download the PDF)
- printer and paper
- black and white twine
- clear plastic treat bags
- whole puncher
- watermelon candy (yes, they're vegan!)
Start by printing the watermelon valentines. (You can download them here!)
You can use regular printer paper, or you can go for something fancier, like card stock.
Next, add the watermelon candy to the clear plastic bags. There are varying sizes of bags, so pay close attention to the dimensions if you buy online. You don't want to accidentally use a giant bag for a couple of candies. These Wilton bags were perfect.
Use the black and white twine to tie the bag closed (but don't add that bow yet).
You can also try red twine for some extra Valentine's Day color.
Punch a hole in the corner of each printed tag, add it to the twine, and finish it off with a bow.
These printable valentines are cute, easy to make, and you can get the whole family involved!
