This sun-dried tomato and feta dip is the perfect appetizer for your next gathering. It's packed with flavor from creamy Greek yogurt, tangy Feta cheese, and sun-dried tomatoes. Serve with homemade pita chips for a match made in heaven.
When we invite friends and family over, I love serving dips as an appetizer. Dips are simple to serve, fun to eat, and there are so many different options that you can be sure to find one that everyone will eat.
This weekend, we had some family visiting, so I decided to test out this Sun-Dried Tomato and Feta dip recipe with them. It was definitely a hit - so now I will share it with all of you!
Let's make Sun-Dried Tomato and Feta Dip!
One thing that I do not love about many dip recipes is the heaviness - most are laden with mayo or cream cheese.
So for this dip, I opted to use a plain, Greek yogurt as the base. It is nice and light, yet still creamy.
And it adds a nice tangy flavor to the dip, which is perfectly aligned with the flavors in the feta cheese.
If you've ever been inclined to try making your own Greek yogurt, Serious Eats has an awesome tutorial.
Now, on to the star ingredients of this dip.
First is the feta cheese. I am an absolute feta cheese addict - I just adore that tangy flavor.
I'm guilty of loading up all kinds of dishes - from tacos to scrambled eggs - with a healthy dose of feta. It even makes an appearance in some of my favorite recipes, such as my Slow Roasted Tomatoes with Feta and Spiced Pumpkin and Feta Tarts.
And of course the final star ingredient is the sun-dried tomatoes. This is another one of my favorite ingredients.
I am usually partial to this kind that is packed in olive oil. I use the incredibly flavorful oil to add an extra dose of flavor to my dishes. But for this particular recipe, I actually recommend using this variety, that is packed dry. It will keep your dip from becoming too oily.

Actually preparing the feta dip is incredibly simple. You just toss everything into a food processor (or blender, if yours is strong enough), and puree into a nice thick dip. In addition to the yogurt, sun-dried tomatoes, and feta, I added a bit of garlic, basil, and black pepper.
You can serve the feta dip with any kind of dipper you like - including fresh veggies, crackers, or any type of chips.
I highly recommend homemade pita chips though. They are so easy and taste so nice and fresh with the dip.
To make the chips - simply cut some fresh pita bread into wedges. Spray both sides with olive oil, salt, and pepper. And bake in the oven for 5-10 minutes until they are nice and toasty!
