Green tea and apple cider vinegar mix together well, and people have been combining them for years! Steeping the two together, usually with a little ginger, mint, and honey like in this tonic, mellows out apple cider vinegar's sharp bite while keeping its tang, making it a much easier way to work ACV into your routine than taking it straight.

Apple cider vinegar has ton of health benefits, but drinking it straight isn't for the faint of heart. Combining it with other ingredients makes it much more palatable. And combining it with green tea, ginger and honey makes it an antioxidant-packed, cold-fighting powerhouse!

Common Questions About Green Tea and Apple Cider Vinegar
Can you mix apple cider vinegar with green tea? Yes. Apple cider vinegar and green tea combine easily - stir a tablespoon or two of ACV into a cup of brewed green tea, or steep them together with add-ins like ginger, mint, or honey to balance the vinegar's acidity, as in this recipe.
Is it safe to drink green tea and apple cider vinegar together? For most healthy adults, yes, in moderate amounts - a tablespoon or two per serving, as used here. Apple cider vinegar is acidic, so it's best diluted (never taken straight) and enjoyed with food rather than on an empty stomach. If you have acid reflux, take medication, or have a condition affecting your stomach or blood sugar, check with your doctor before adding it to your routine.
How much apple cider vinegar should you add to green tea? This recipe uses 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar per 6 cups of tea (about 4-6 servings) - roughly a teaspoon per cup. That's a good starting ratio; if the tang is too strong, add a little more honey or dilute with extra water.
What are the benefits of combining green tea and apple cider vinegar? Both are staples in home wellness routines. Green tea is rich in antioxidants, and apple cider vinegar has long been used for digestion and as a general tonic. Combining them mostly makes ACV easier to drink regularly - think of this as a soothing, flavorful habit rather than a cure-all.
Can you drink this tonic every day? Many people do, but if you're new to apple cider vinegar, start with a smaller amount and see how your body responds. Because it's acidic, sipping through a straw and rinsing your mouth afterward can help protect your tooth enamel over time.
