No CSA, No Problem: Our Top Picks for Produce Delivery

Farmers markets and Community Supported Agriculture programs (or CSAs) are great, but if you don't have them near you or don't have the time to make the trek to get your goods, you don't have many options for farm-fresh veggies—beyond becoming BFFs with a farmer or growing the fruits and veggies yourself. If you don't have access to one of these options, or if you simply prefer your produce delivered straight to your doorstep, here are 10 ways to get an influx of fresh zukes, cukes and more without leaving the house.

Omaha Steaks

Don't let the name fool you. Omaha Steaks also ships fresh veggies and herbs grown in Huron, Ohio. Pick from a selection of curated boxes, like the Juicing Box (which includes carrots, beets, radishes, herbs, lettuces and more) or the Beauty Box (edible flowers, pea tendrils, microgreens and other pretty, leafy things). Farmbox Direct

Farmbox Direct is a farm-to-table, CSA style produce-delivery services that is USDA certified organic and focuses on locally harvested seasonal produce. Each delivery (choose from mixed produce, all fruit, or all veggies) is customizable and comes with a recipe suggestion card. Farmbox is also a zero-waste company, and for every two boxes sold, they donate a pound of organic produce to the NYC Food Bank.
