I grew up eating only homemade pasta sauce. My mom was serious when it came to pasta and nothing was as good as homemade. So as you can imagine, I’m a little fussy about my pasta sauces too!
It wasn’t until I became an adult and started cooking in my own kitchen that I realized homemade isn’t always best. But also, not all jarred pasta sauce is created equal. If I buy my sauce instead of making it, it’s got to be really good. Like, something that rivals my own sauce or mom’s (don’t tell!).
Uncle Steve’s Italian Specialties Pasta Sauces are really, really good!
I was lucky enough to have the chance to sample a three pack including Uncle Steve’s tomato basil, marinara, and arrabiatta. I loved them all.
The tomato basil sauce is light and flavorful with a touch of sweetness. The juicy tomato flavor really shines in this one, and it’s perfect for summery meals. I enjoyed it over some roasted veggies in sandwiches.
The marinara sauce has a bit more of an intense flavor than the tomato basil. This is a perfect all-purpose pasta sauce that you could serve with just about anything. I loved this one on a homemade vegan pizza.
The arrabiatta sauce packs a nice kick! If you’re a fan of spicy foods like I am, you’ll really enjoy this one. I piled it onto spaghetti along with some homemade vegan meatballs.
One of my favorite things about all three sauces is that they’re certified vegan. They’re also gluten-free and made with organic ingredients (I love that!).
