1. Mikey’s Gluten-Free Tortillas
I don’t follow a gluten-free diet, but I know from family and friends who do that a good gluten-free tortilla is hard to find. And because I normally by regular old flour tortillas, I consider myself to be an excellent critic when judging their gluten-free counterparts. I tried Mikey’s gluten-free tortillas and loved them. The texture was excellent, they tasted just like the tortillas I’m used to, and they held up perfectly when I used them to make some tacos and vegan quesadillas.

2. Ben & Jerry’s Non-Dairy Ice Cream
I held out forever on trying this stuff, because I knew it would be amazing. It lived up to my expectations and beyond. Ben & Jerry’s dairy-free ice creams are every bit as delicious as their diary-based ones, and they’re certified vegan. So far the Coconut Seven Layer Bar reigns supreme as my favorite, but the Caramel Almond Brittle was amazing too. I have high hopes for the Coffee Caramel Fudge, which I’ve yet been able to find in any stores near me.

3. NoMoo Cookies
For a long time I felt like the only way to get really good vegan cookies was to bake them myself. That’s before I discovered NoMoo. They taste just like I did bake them myself. Or maybe better if I’m being totally honest. These cookies are absolutely delicious and I’ve loved every variety that I’ve tried, but the Loco For Cocoa is my favorite.

4. Luhv Food Black Bean Plantain Poblano Burgers
I stopped into a local vegan cafe recently and tried one of these burgers, and it instantly became a favorite! Just the right amount of spicy, perfect texture, and it was totally vegan and gluten-free. I was really pleased to find that a bunch of stores in my area sell these burgers frozen. They’re not available nationwide (yet!) but if you live in the mid-Atlantic area, definitely check out the list of retailers on Luhv Food’s webpage and go get yourself a pack.

5. Kite Hill Greek-Style Yogurt
Yogurt was the toughest thing for me to give up when I ditched dairy, and specifically Greek yogurt, with its thick and creamy texture, lots of protein, and staying power. That’s why I was really excited to try Kite Hill’s Greek style yogurt. It’s made with almond milk, but it’s just as rich and creamy as any dairy-based Greek yogurt I’ve had. Each cup also packs a nice amount of protein, which I love. All of the flavors I tried were great, but the blueberry was my favorite.
