…and the cat posts continue! This is Aikku–our baby of the bunch. We got her in July 2009, right after we moved to our current apartment. Every place we had been in only allowed two cats, but this building had no such restrictions, so I wanted to get a kitten. When I saw I Aikku, I instantly knew that she was the one, with her gimpy leg, wonky eye, ear mites, matted fur, hernia, and short tail (we later found out that part of it was missing). The husband kept pointing me in the direction of playful! healthy! boisterous! tabbies, but I wanted the sickly kitten that had been passed over by everyone else.
Aikku just turned two, but she’s still tiny and kitten-like. She has a chirpy little meow that always makes me laugh (well, maybe not when she’s waking me up at 4am). She has strange little tufts of fur coming out of her ears and on her hind legs, making it look like she’s wearing MC Hammer from behind. And yes, she’s always getting into trouble, as you can see here.
