    You can skip a whole bunch of time and avoid heating up the kitchen by cooking spaghetti squash (or any winter squash) in the microwave!

    Poke holes into the squash here and there with a fork. Cook uncovered and uncut in a microwave on high for 3 minutes at a time. Then flip. Keep cooking and flipping every three minutes until your fork easily goes through the squash. Smaller ones are done in 6 to 10 minutes!

    Then let it cool a bit, slice through it (which is MUCH easier now that it’s cooked!), and scoop out the seeds (also much easier).

    So easy – and a lot less time and forethought involved!
