Introducing The Type A Housewife Recipe Index

Recipe Index
You know how sometimes you put something off for months and months and then you finally do it and it takes you 20 minutes? And you realize that the universe is trying to teach you a lesson about procrastination? Well, hey, I finally got around to putting together my recipe index! You can find it on the far right side of my menu bar or, if you’re reading this post (which you are!), you can simply click here:

The Type A Housewife Recipe Index

Now all of my recipe posts are listed in one place! They’re broken down according to recipe type (Entrees, Side Dishes, Snacks, Desserts, Breakfast, Soups & Stews, Salads, Drinks, Sauces, & Everything Else) and each category contains an alphabetical list of recipes. (Side note: I’m working on replacing all of my old photographs with new ones, so if you want to see such masterpieces as Yellow Lasagna or Vegetarian Chicken Florentine That Totally Looks Like Prison Food, you better act now, y’all.)

While we’re on the subject of my blog, you may have noticed that I gave it a little facelift a few weeks back. It’s now easier to navigate and a little less cluttered. My goal is to make The Type A Housewife as user-friendly as possible, so I hope you like the changes. In addition to finding recipes using my new Recipe Index, you can continue to find them by using the navigational menu at the top of the page–I’ve added separate menu options for Vegetarian, Vegan, and Dessert Recipes. My old Menu Plan Posts as well as my What I Ate This Week posts can be found under Meal Ideas. All of my Garden Updates will be under Gardening and Miscellany is home to everything else. To find recipes by ingredient, try using the tag cloud at the bottom of the page.

I’m trying! :) When I was working crazy hours, I could find the time to write blog posts, but everything else with my blog kind of fell to the wayside. It’s nice to finally cross something off of my to do list.

I love, love, LOVE this! I need to use that app to start adding more recipes in that format for sure. I only wish I’d converted to WordPress earlier, so there was less working “backwards”. While I go through pics in my old blogs I am CRINGING. They are SO BAD. Crappy camera + no experience= fail, fail, fail!

I debated on retaking them all as you had talked about for yours before, but I might leave them to show the learning curve. Maybe that’s my laziness talking. :)

Yeah, as I update my old photos, I’m putting the recipes into ZipList too. It’s totally worth doing–both ZipList & the photos. ZipList is good for SEO, so I’m seeing more traffic from search engines. And I’ve been submitting the new photos to FG and TS, so when they’ve gotten accepted, I’ve gotten hundreds of hits in one day on recipes that haven’t had a single view in months.
