I am so excited to announce a new addition to Oh My Veggies–Potluck! You all know what a potluck is, right? It’s a gathering of friends and family; everyone brings a dish to share and inevitably, everyone leaves with several new recipes too. That’s the idea behind Potluck. I’ve always wanted Oh My Veggies to be a resource for vegetarian cooking, not just a personal food blog, and Potluck is part of that. On Potluck, you can:
Share Your Favorite Recipes
I know you have some! You can sign up for Potluck and share your own recipes with the Potluck community. And no, you don’t have to be a blogger to do this and if you don’t have a photo to share, that’s fine too.
Share Your Blog Posts
If you’re a food blogger, you probably don’t want to share your entire recipes on another website. I get that! Potluck will allow you to submit a photo and ingredient list and then link back to your original post for the full recipe.
Find New Veg-Friendly Recipes
It’s hard to keep up with all the food blogs and recipe sites that are out there. Potluck lets you find recipes from a variety of bloggers and home cooks all in one place. Unlike other food websites, everything on Potluck is vegetarian, so you don’t have to wade through a bunch of meaty recipes to find what you need. When you find a recipe you like, you can save it to your recipe box and come back to it later.
Get Even More Great Content from Featured Contributors
I’ve asked some of my favorite bloggers to write posts for Potluck–Kare from Kitchen Treaty, Meg from Beard + Bonnet, Sherrie from With Food + Love, and McKel from Nutrition Stripped. They’ll be sharing recipes, tips, and round-ups as Featured Contributors. I’m so excited to be able to add some new voices and perspectives to Oh My Veggies!
Stay Up-to-Date on Potluck
I will be sharing Potluck updates on Twitter and Facebook, and I’ve created a Potluck board on Pinterest too. We’ll also be sending out a weekly newsletter with the latest updates from the community and in the next week or so, we’ll be updating Oh My Veggies to make it easier to navigate between the different sections of the site.
I am so excited to finally be able to share what I’ve been working on these past few months! (Yes, all the talk about big changes? This is it!) And as always, thanks to my designer Shay Bocks for helping me make this happen. Potluck is built on a (very!) customized version of her beautiful new Genesis theme, Foodie. If you’re a food blogger, Foodie is the perfect way to showcase your work!
Anyway! I hope you love Potluck as much as I do and find it useful. I can’t wait to see the recipes you share!
